Practical Skills and Case Based Training

 

This workshop is aimed at students, junior nurses, and nurses wanting to work in acute care areas. It is designed to teach a structured approach to the unwell patient through a combination of eLearning and a full day hands-on practical skills workshop with interactive case studies, discussions, skill stations, and simulated scenarios.

The training is delivered using a mixed model of online learning and a skills workshop, topics will include:

  • Assessment of the Seriously Ill Adult

  • Basic Airway Management

  • Basic Life Support

  • Principles of Adult Resuscitation

  • IV Cannulation

  • Common Medical Emergencies

  • Red Flag Presentations - Chest Pain, Sepsis, Asthma, Collapse, Allergy, Abdominal Pain

Registration includes access to the LearnEM Introduction to Adult Emergency eLearning module.
