Workshop (1) : Physics, Knobology, Abdominal Aorta

This is the first of three Online courses. The on-line learning provides the core knowledge required for Workshop 1 and prepares the participant for the hands-on training and simulation undertaken in the first workshop. In this course we examine the critical topics of basic principles and knobology (how to set up and use an US machine) and examine the use of ultrasound for examination of the aorta.

This course is part of a blended (online- workshop) program providing hands-on training and simulation in bedside ultrasound. The course is open to medical officers, nurses, paramedics and students and will be of most relevance to Rural GPs, GP / ED Registrars, ED CMOs and Training medical officers.
