Pre-learning for "Introduction to Adult Emergencies"
The Introduction to Adult Emergencies Course provides the foundation for assessing and recognising the seriously ill or deteriorating patient, initiating basic resuscitation and accredits participants in Basic Life Support. It is designed for junior nurses and is ideal for final year nursing students prior to their entry into their graduate year. It includes skills training in basic airway and ventilation, vascular access and basic life support.
The pre-learning introduces the systematic approach the the seriously ill or deteriorating patient, reviews the keys principles of basic life support and management of the choking patient.
