RDWA Primary Care Ultrasound (Part 1)

Basic Principles, Knobology, Abdominal Aorta, First Trimester Ultrasound

Access to the prelearning is restricted to participants enrolled in the U/S workshop

The Primary Care Ultrasound course is delivered using a combination of online learning of core material with a hands-on skills/simulation workshop. The first part of the online course covers set up of the machine and optimising images, selection and placement of probes, ultrasound of the abdomen (including aorta, ascites, trauma), pelvis (including bladder and first trimester pregnancy).

The following prelearning modules introduce the core principles and knowledge required for the use of ultrasound in emergency practice and explore the application of ultrasound to the setting of primary care.

Primary Care Ultrasound (Part 2)

The second part of the Online learning for the Primary Care Ultrasound course may be completed before or after the workshop. The course explores imaging of the musculoskeletal system and lung using ultrasound, the FAST (Focused assessment in trauma) protocol and ultrasound guided procedures.
