Acute Red Eye, Acute Painless Visual loss and Eye Trauma

This course builds on the basic skills introduced in the EDGE : Introduction to Eye Emergencies and explores the clinical diagnosis and management of many of the other common and serious diseases that present with a Red Eye and the patient presenting with (painless) acute loss of vision. The course alos examines the patient presenting with a history of Eye Trauma and discusses the clinical features and management of corneal foreign body and corneal abrasion, flash burns (UV Keratitis), chemical burns, penetrating eye injury and hyphaema.

Course accreditation

• CPD accreditation: ACRRM (30 PRPD Points), RACGP, (40 Cat 1 CPD points)

• Duration of enrolment 12 months

• CPD certificate for 6 hours CME is provided with successful course completion
