How we approach the management of the seriously ill or injured patient in the first few minutes may significantly determine their chances of survival, risk for complications, and long-term disability. In this course we explore the approach to the seriously ill adult and child, and identify the clinical features and management of life-threatening illness causing hypoxia due to airway obstruction or respiratory failure.
