The RESP workshop was developed by a team of emergency physicians, rural GPs, and nurse and paramedic educators.
The program provides 24 hours of training incorporating online (eLearning) and a 2 day practical skills workshop. Topics include: Resuscitation of the Critically Ill/Injured Patient, Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation, Basic and Advanced Airway Management, Ventilation using an Oxylog Ventilator, Resuscitation Team Leadership and Teamwork, Difficult Vascular Access, Cervical Spine Management in Trauma, Chest Tube Insertion, Needle Aspiration, Cardiac Pacing/Cardioversion, and Newborn Resuscitation.
The workshop pre- and post-learning is delivered online and comprises 10 modules covering the topics:
