ALS Instructor Training Program: Prelearning 

A Course for those wish to become accredited Advanced Life Support Instructors (ALSi)

The course has been developed for suitably qualified Nursing and Medical staff wishing to teach Basic and Advanced Life Support.

The ALS Instructor Course is a blended learning program that incorporates a three day face to face workshop providing ALS certification (Day1) and Instructor Training (Day2/3).

To complete the program it is important you complete the following prelearning prior to the workshop.The prelearning is divided into two components

1. Teaching and Education

• Core Principles: Instructor Role

• Small Group Teaching, Procedural Skills, Immersive Simulation

• Work Based Assessment

2. Advanced Life Support

• Basic CPR, FB Airway Obstruction, Advanced Life Support

• Critically Ill Patient: Primary Survey, Airway, Breathing, Circulation
