About the POCUS for Midwifery Practice
This one-day workshop is designed to assist Midwives to become confident with the use of POCUS for assessment of patients in the Third Trimester. The course will focus on providing the knowledge and hands on training required for the ultrasound assessment of fetal heart rate, placental location, liquor volume and presentation.
The course is delivered using blended model of training that provides online prelearning to cover core knowledge together with a hands-on workshop to teach procedural skills and simulation with the aim of building confidence with scanning technique, image optimisation and recognition of pathology.
