Basic Life Support Prelearning 2022/23

The BLS Course is a combined online/skills workshop program developed by LearnEM to provide training in the Australian Resuscitation Council (ARC) guidelines for Basic Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) and Immediate management of Foreign Body Airway Obstruction.

The Basic Life Support course covers the core knowledge required for :

1. Recognising Cardiac Arrest

2. Initiating Basic CPR in adults and children

3. Use of the Automatic External Defibrillator (AED)

4. Recognising the symptoms of Airway Obstruction

5. Immediate management of Airway Foreign Body

6. Procedure for Basic CPR in the unconscious patient with Airway Foreign Body
