The prelearning  focuses on the clinical applications, ultrasound anatomy and pathologic findings that will aid the use of bedside ultrasound to examine the gallbladder, abdominal aorta, and the kidney and the urinary tract. The prelearning also explores the role and use of colour doppler at the bedside.

The pre-learning is divided into the following 7 topics
